Advisory – Beirut port explosion
Falcon Maritime and Aviation is closely monitoring the tragic explosion at the Port of Beirut on August 4. Our thoughts are with the people of Lebanon as they face immense new challenges.
Reporting indicates that extensive damage has been done to the port complex, its infrastructure, and offices. Several container carriers have already announced service changes, with more expected to follow:
CMA CGM: Beirut calls suspended – shipments diverting to Tripoli and other regional ports
Hapag-Lloyd: Beirut calls suspended – shipments diverting to Damietta and Tripoli
Maersk: Beirut calls suspended – shipments diverting to Tripoli
Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC): Beirut calls suspended
